People with the most success are also the most well-connected. They have a large Rolodex. With a phone call they can get what they want.

Connected people know other well connected people. It’s almost like a tree of relationships. Strong Networks run deep. Money does grow on trees !

Spending time in meeting new people and building good relationships is the best investment we can make. Build your network with a contact manager, MS Outlook or any other computer based program with this purpose.

Your success will be largely determined by:

1-The number of contacts in your contact manager.

2-The quality of your relationships with the people in your contact manager.

“It’s not what you know , it’s who you know. !”
Actually it’s not just who you know, it’s who knows you !

So, make sure that people in your network know you and know what you do.
You want them to think of you when they are ready to do business.

Are you in front of them enough for them to remember you when the time is right for them to do business with you ?

Things you can do to maximize your electronic Rolodex:

a-Add one or 2 people everyday 365 days. Se it as a goal. Simply meet them and build a good relationship. DON’T TRY TO SELL . As time goes on you will get to know them and also look for ways to help them.

b-View your contact manager as an opportunity to “give back” . Scan your contact manager daily and ask, “What can I do for someone in my network that will add value to their life ?

c-Cold calling is not necessary . You have a warm market in your contact manager. When you meet someone new, your objective is to get to know them so that you can become a great resource to them. As a result you will have many people who will want to go into business with you.

d-Make notes in the notes section of your contact manager. People’s interests, dates, family, topics of past conversations, etc.

How to add 1, 2 or even more people daily to your Electronic Rolodex ?

Hey , you are in business, so use the social media as the source of your Rolodex, search for people with something in common with you and invite them to be your friend, build the relationship , your electronic Rolodex will grow unlimited.
