The Four Tear Career Plan. Financial Freedom for Life. By Richard Brooke.

teachs about it, why is important to consider a Plan B, a plan to work hard with a good company for 4 Years and the retire wealthy. Take a serious look and Feel free to contact me back.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Four-Year Career Plan™: Financial Freedom For Life

Recently, I renewed my flight medical certificate, which requires a thorough physical every two years. Angelo, the attending physician, reminded me of something about the average lifespan of an American: We used to live to be about 65; now it's about 75. Angelo mentioned that he thought our generous government set up Social Security and Medicaid to kick in when we reach our early sixties, knowing most of us would not be around to collect. Makes sense to me. I got to thinking about how much it costs for us to survive — not to mention really live — those extra ten years. It could be between $500,000 and $1 million. That is a lot of money/assets to acquire, especially if you don't know whether you are going to need it.

The traditional 40-year career does not exist anymore. The average person today will change jobs more than seven times in their working career, many of them changing whole careers several times.

The idea of working for 40 years to retire on one-third of what was not even enough for the 40 years just does not make sense. Yet it is still the ruling paradigm.

Challenging this 40-year career model is The Four-Year Career™. The trademarked concept is simple: Choose an income-producing occupation that allows you to not only earn income for the now, but more importantly stacks up income for the future. Build something while you earn that keeps on earning. It is called Residual Income or Royalty Income and the wealthiest people in the world have been focusing on it for hundreds of years. Inventors do it. Songwriters do it. Movie producers do it. Actors now do it. Authors do it. Commercial real estate developers do it. And, Network Marketers do it.

Build something that will keep on churning out the income, whether you are there managing it or not. This creates financial freedom, a concept that is not well known, explored or enjoyed by most people. What does it take to do it in the movies, or publishing or real estate? For the most part, I don’t know. There are experts to guide you if that is your inclination. I do know what it takes in Network Marketing. Is it easy? No. Do you need lots of money or education? No. Do you need some time, lots of self-motivation and a great company to stand behind you? Yes. Can you do it? Yes.

Financial freedom means different things to different people. It depends on one’s appetite. Some people can be free on $1,000 a month, while others need $2,000 or $3,000 per month. Still others desire ten times that much. Regardless of what the amount is for you, think about what your life could be like (or if you prefer, what it could have been like) had you not had to work most of it. Think of the interests you could have explored. Think of the places you could have gone. Think of the time you could have invested in your relationship with your children in their street-smart education. Think of the fun you could have had. Think of the things you could have created: writings, paintings, buildings and gardens. It’s not too late to think in the present tense.

I think about the quality of life that most of us live now. We have good lives. We get to experience, for the most part, a fair amount of what life has to offer. But what could we do? What could we build? What could we create and contribute if "earning a living" were not the mandatory daily grind? What if we had our basic finances handled by age 25 or 30? What quality of life could we enjoy?

I am not suggesting that money is the most important thing in life. It is just that we spend most of our time earning a living, so we must place a pretty high value on what it provides. Just think of the time you could free up and what you could do with it that is more important than money.

It seems that maybe, when it comes to quality of life, we could turn our own society upside down and inside out by pioneering the paradigm of The Four Year Career™. Dive into a royalty income opportunity you enjoy and do it passionately and powerfully enough to get yourself set up for the rest of your life. You can always continue that career for as long as it suits you; or you can launch another without sacrificing income.

With financial freedom your dreams can come true — even if you live to be 120. Imagine living twice as long as your forefathers/mothers, with ten times the quality of life. I think that adds up to 20 lifetimes. Financial Freedom. The Fountain of Youth.

The best business keeps getting better. By Richard Brooke.

Hi Folks,

Many of are already know about MLM, many of you are involved in such a way , this article By Richard Brooke, an expet in the industry and CEO of Oxyfresh  and  CEO of 21TEN  , explains some facts we need to know to use them as tools in support our efforts.

I hope you Enjoy it.

To your Success,

Octavio.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The best business keeps getting better

"(MLM) is the best kept secret in the business world."
Fortune magazine

"Dollar for dollar, (MLM) is the best investment I’ve ever made."
Warren Buffet

Many businesses are downsizing, going virtual or going offshore and taking our jobs with them. That’s bad news. The good news is that as a country we keep growing anyway. U.S. household incomes rose from $13 trillion in 1991, to $40 trillion in 2001. And during the recession years of 2001 to 2004 it increased another $8 trillion! How is that possible? In part because of a home-based business boom.Network Marketing accounts for a significant portion of the revolution. Those of us who have pursued Network Marketing have gone from relying on an employer to pay us and take care of our security, to us "getting it" that we are our only security. What was once considered risky — starting your own business — is rapidly becoming known as the smartest way to reduce taxes, increase your income, build net worth and create free time. The traditional business for most of us is out of reach. Hundreds of thousands in start-up capital — all at risk and far more than a full-time effort with competitors around every corner. There are no solid mentors and no life beyond the business. Network Marketing provides an alternative for those serious about their net worth and their freedom.

In his best-selling book, The Automatic Millionaire, David Bach says, "the beauty of this industry is that it’s all done for you. The only thing you need to do is find a reputable company — one that you trust, that offers a product or service you believe in and can get passionate about."

Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad says, "you’re actually building an income-generating asset. Direct selling gives people the opportunity, with very low risk and very low financial commitment, to build their own income-generating asset and acquire great wealth."

And what once may have been looked down upon as a peddler’s opportunity is now seen far differently by those that should know. In the past few years alone, Network Marketing has been showcased in Forbes, Fortune, USA Today, US News and World Report and the Wall Street Journal."The best kept secret of the business world." That’s how an article in Fortune magazine described Network Marketing in August 2004.In 2002, Warren Buffet got many people’s attention when Berkshire Hathaway purchased a major direct sales company. Buffet now owns three direct sales companies and has said, "dollar for dollar, it’s the best investment I’ve ever made."Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Records and a host of other Virgin companies, founded Virgin Cosmetics in the UK — a direct sales company. The list of major MLM investors reads like a who’s who: Bertelsmann, The Body Shop, Crayola, Hallmark Cards, Jockey, Nestle, Remington Industries, Sara Lee, Unilever and Time Warner. In his most recent book, The Next Millionaires, Paul Zane Pilzer forecasts 10 million new millionaires in the U.S. over the next 10 years, and predicts many of them will be people who are getting involved in their own Network Marketing business now.Network Marketing has grown every year for the past 20, jumping over 91 percent in just the past 10 years. Today, more than 40 million of us enjoy annual sales of $30 billion in the U.S. and $100 billion worldwide.Every week, an average of 175,000 new people in the U.S., and an additional 300,000 worldwide, get their starter kit, learn their products and start offering their opportunity to others. Some will persevere with a personal vision of fun, health and abundance and go on to live extraordinary lives. Others will not harness this personal power and will move on. Either way, the opportunity to be part of a great movement in our country and the world is available to all of us. We cannot deny that we are smack dab in the middle of the opportunity to change our lives and the lives of our families for generations to come. Not just with the wealth we can create, but with the wisdom to live lives worthy of such abundance. What we do with it today, tomorrow and everyday is entirely up to us. As good ol’ Henry Ford said profoundly: "If we think we can, we will. If we think we can’t, we won’t."It does not take a Ph.D to figure out how things won’t work for you. Actually, any idiot can decide that fate. It takes vision, courage and creativity to figure out every day how it will work for you.Make it happen for yourself. Do it ANYWAY!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Art of Leapfrogging

Leapfrogging is a form of presentation whereby your enrollment candidate is motivated to join your opportunity, not based on what they know about your program or their belief in themselves, but rather based on who they know by occupation. It is based on the author's belief that most people who choose not to join you do so for two basic reasons:

It's Who You Know

Leapfrogging was designed to circumvent the above issues by never asking (or even allowing the candidate to assume that you are asking them) whether they think they can be successful, or whether it might be worth their time. Leapfrogging takes the presentation into a realm where the candidate does not have deep, personal convictions with which to argue.

Leapfrogging "leaps over" the candidate by asking them:
"Who do you know that is a __________?"

Notice it is not the typical referral question of:
"Who do you know that might be interested?"

The question is: "Who do you know that is a _____________?" And you fill in the blank with an occupation that you know has been, can be, and will be successful in your business model. What is the occupation (or former occupation) of the number one distributor in your company? You could fill in the blank with that occupation.

Everyone knows a couple of teachers, coaches, ministers, dentists, chiropractors, housewives, small business owners, firemen, policemen, etc. Use occupations for which you can tell success stories. Use occupations for which you can logically explain and sell why that particular occupation does well in your company. Use common occupations that you know your candidate will have in their network of contacts.

For example, perhaps you sell pet products. You could ask:
"Who do you know that is a Veterinarian?"
"Who do you know that is a groomer?"
"Who do you know that is a total pet lover?"

Perhaps you sell vanity products. You could ask: "Who do you know that is a hairstylist or dermatologist, or sells high-end clothes?" Everyone can tell you about people they know in these categories.

You will want to match the occupations you ask about both with your product line and with successful Distributors in your company so you can tell their success stories. Once you are clear on the occupations you will use, you will want to learn the stories of everyone in your company within those occupations that has had some success. Memorize these stories. You will also want to map out on paper and memorize how your particular product line is such a natural fit for a particular occupation.

Let's say you sell nutritional supplements and you want to use chiropractors as your occupation. You will want to learn all the success stories of DCs in your business and map out a business plan for how and why they should be successful.

For example: The average DC sees 10 patients a day, 5 days a week. That equals 50 people a week. If just 10 percent of them order your starter antioxidant pack, that is $250 in sales per week times 4.3 weeks a month equals $1,075 a month in sales. Memorize that little business plan as part of your Leapfrogging approach.

When & How

There are many places in the conversation to start Leapfrogging a candidate. You can use this method in your initial interest-building conversations by asking anyone: "Hey, who do you know that is a DC?" Let them tell you who they know by name. You can tell them that you are involved in a business in which DCs are doing very well and you are looking for others to expand with. You can tell them that your company might even pay them a referral percentage if the DCs they recommend are selected.

Most often leapfrogging is used in the actual presentation towards the end, instead of any kind of close on the candidate.

Here is a sample script presented in a role-play model:

"So Mary, now that you've seen the products and the opportunity, I would like to ask you who you know that is a hair stylist."

"Well, I know Janine."

"Great. Where does she have her salon?"

"Downtown."

"Perfect. How long has she had it?"

"10 years."

"Excellent. And does she have other stylists working with her?"

"Yes, I think about 4 others."

"That is really good. Let me tell you why I ask that, Mary. One of the most successful leaders in our company used to be a stylist. Julie used her salon as a platform to launch her business. Now she earns tens of thousands a month. And guess what? Her sponsor earns a bundle as well.

"And Mary, a stylist is in a perfect position to build a business with us. They see 8 to 10 people every day, and for 30 to 60 minutes those people are a captive audience. So what Julie did was just display a couple of the products right in front of the client on the shelf so they could look at them throughout their session. They would eventually ask her, 'What's that?' And she just told them what the products did for her. Guess what, Mary? Most of them bought.

"Let's look at the math. If even half of the eight clients Julie saw a day purchased a $20 package of products, that's $80 a day, times six days a week equals $480 a week. Multiply that times 4.3 weeks a month and she sold over $2,000 a month in product. Julie earned an extra $800 a month in retail profit without styling any more hair.

"Now, you said Janine had 4 other stylists with her?"

"Yes."

"So, she could do even more that Julie did. Let's just say the Janine did half what Julie did and she created $1,000 a month in business. Do you know any other stylists?"

"Yes."

"Who?"

"Larry."

"Where does he have his salon?"

"He works out of his home."

"How long has he been doing styling hair out of his home?"

"Just for a couple of years, but he has a large clientele."

"Great. So perhaps Larry could also do $1,000 a month in sales and earn himself an extra $400 a month. But let me show you something even more powerful than that, Mary. How many other stylists, both here in town and all across the nation, do you think Janine and Larry know?"

"I'm not sure."

"Just guess."

"I don't know...maybe 10 to 20."

"Great. Let's say Janine and Larry decide to try this and they introduce us to 15 other stylists each. And let's say half of them get involved. Why wouldn't they, for an extra two days pay for no additional work? So that is 7 new distributors each under Janine and Larry. Let's say each of them only do $500 a month in sales. That's $2,000 from Janine, $1,000 from Larry, and $7,000 from the 14 others for a total of $10,000 in total sales. Do you see how that adds up?"

"Yes."

"Great. Now comes the good part for you, Mary. Our company will pay YOU over $1,000 a month just for helping me introduce Janine and Larry. I can't guarantee they will do it, but if not them, then someone else you know. Do you have any use for an extra $1,000 a month right now?"

"Yes, of course."

"Good, then let's get started. How soon can you introduce me to Janine and Larry?"

"Anytime."

"Perfect. Let's do it this week. First, we need to get you registered to earn your royalty. I will present the opportunity to them and all I need you to do is get us an appointment and be an enthusiastic new distributor yourself. So let's get you enrolled and started on the products yourself. Which of these packages will work for you to start?"

Every company has a different way to enroll, so adapt the finish to how you get people started with their package. If your candidate balks at enrolling, just explain to them that you cannot effectively convince their prospects to enroll unless they are an enthusiastic product user and distributor themselves.

Rarely will a candidate NOT flow with this enrollment presentation.

Leapfrogging works because you never ask the candidate if THEY THINK they can do it, or if it is worth their time, or if they even want to do it. The issue never comes up. What does come up is a crystal-clear vision of someone else doing it, and doing it successfully.

Your very clear plan is not something the candidate can argue with. It has nothing to do with their belief systems or self-esteem or personal preferences. It has everything to do with someone else, and you are the expert at whether that someone else will do well. They do not have any convictions to argue with you, and you have a well thought out arsenal of examples of success.

You can continue to add occupations and additional people, and even additional levels (3rd Level: And how many stylists do you think each of them know?), until you have an overwhelming picture of what your candidate will be leaving on the table if they pass.

Here are a few key points:

  1. Memorize your success stories.
  2. Design and memorize your mini business plans.
  3. Ask for specific occupations.
  4. Ask for details about who they know: Where do they work? How long have they done it? Etc.
  5. Be enthusiastic about their responses to your questions.
  6. Draw it out on paper for them. If they are on the phone, direct them to draw it out. It is critical that they SEE the organization they will be letting go by if they choose not to get involved.
  7. Show specific income meant for them.
  8. Assure them you will do the presentations.
  9. Do not guarantee success.
  10. Let them know their role is to get the appointment and be enthusiastic about the product themselves.
Most MLMers enroll 10 to 20 percent of their candidates. When you master Leapfrogging, you will enroll 75 to 80 percent and very often have streaks of 100 percent. How can they say no?
Richard Brooke

  1. Based on what you told them and on their own self-esteem (or lack thereof), they do not believe they can be successful.

  2. They do not believe that what they could earn would be worth the time and effort they would need to put forth. In other words, they "hear" $1,000 a month and they interpret it will take all of their spare time, which they decide is not worth it.
In either case, you as the enroller are fighting a steep, uphill battle. If they lack belief in themselves or in MLM as a concept, you should know that they have been building that belief for most of their adult life - all of their life if it is a self-esteem issue. No matter how hard or good you sell it, you will not unwind that belief in a 30-minute presentation.

If as a prospect, I tell you, "I do not believe I can do this!" and that is my truth, then no amount of you telling me, "Yes you can!" will persuade me otherwise. You, as the salesperson, do not have the ammunition of conviction to overcome my 40 years of repeating this mantra to myself.

The same is true for those who decide the amount of money available is not worth the time they think they will need to spend. Who are you and I as the enroller to argue with that very personal and credible decision? Sure we can argue, but where does it lead us? Nowhere.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mark Yarnell : The 5 major points for success in Network Marketing.

SUCCESS is a matter of doing what other successful people have done. Today I want to share the most 5 important aspects that Mark Yarnell identifies as the 5 keys to succeed in Network Marketing.  Feel free to post your comments.

To your Success,

Octavio.

 http://www.oxyfortune.com

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mark Yarnell was asked what it took to find true success in Network Marketing. Mark firmly believes that Network Marketing is the most ethical and rewarding business model out there and he has been involved with Network Marketing long enough to know! When he was asked how to success in Network Marketing, he responded with 5 major points:

1. Make sure the company you are involved with matches your core values – A great question to ask is this “would you sponsor your Mom in this company?” The answer to that question (assuming you still have positive feelings toward your Mother) will go far in seeing if the company shares your values.

2. It is important that the size of your market is BIG - By BIG Mark Yarnell means that you have a better chance of making $100,000 or more a year if the company you work with markets products and services most people already need and use every day. Overall, the successful products and businesses have been the ones that were able to tap into an existing need or want. It is generally much harder to build a business where you are spending your time getting people to build a new habit.

3. Set aside time to both build yourself as well as your business – Mark Yarnell says he only does things that will help him grow and/or lift him up. He says he spends 2 hours in the morning reading an uplifting book. He also says that you need to spend 2 hours a day on focused relationship building. Mark Yarnell reminds us that Network Marketing pays to do 2 things; Finding new business partners and retailing ones product or service. Mark says that you won’t make the $100k per month if you ignore this point.

4. It is important to make your plan. Do you want to follow a 1, 2, or 3 year plan? Basically, you need to decide in what time frame you want to make $100,000. If you want to do it in 1 year, Mark Yarnell says that you’ll have to talk to a least 30 people a day, 5 days a week for the next year. Mark also believes that if you talk to less than 10 people a day then you are “dabbling” and he is adamant that he will not work with dabblers. He also stated that this is the only industry he has seen where people expect to make millions but refuse to do any actual work. Rightly so, Mark tells us that Network Marketing is hard work but it can be fun and very rewarding.

5. Finally, make it is vital to identify and stand clear of networking landmines. I’m going to stop here however because this point is long enough for me to write another post.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope this article has helped you to become more successfull in MLM, if you already found a great company then work hard following these principles, if not Mark and I invite you to participate with us in the biggest launch in the history of this industry.

Being the Best You Can Be

-->

Take a moment to imagine where our society would be, if we (people and businesses) allowed ourselves to believe we have no need for improvement. If we settled for “good enough,” instead of reaching for excellence. If in the afterglow of great success, we adopted an attitude of “We’ve arrived!” and neglected to ask, “How can we improve and reach the next level?”

One of the most unique and powerful gifts we all have is the ability to better ourselves every day, in every way. It is the ultimate opportunity to have the emotional, intellectual and physical faculties to identify and execute change. And it pays huge dividends, in both our personal and professional lives.

We can study a little every day, either by reading, listening to or watching something that will support us to make shifts in how we take care of ourselves and our future. Even the smallest steps can quickly compound into vast improvements in:

  • Who we are
  • How we act
  • How we react
  • How we attract

The Japanese call it Kaizen … or “constant improvement.”

Let’s look at some areas of our lives where small daily improvements can add up to make huge differences over time:

YOUR HEALTH

What could be more important? Take care of your body; it is the only one you get. It could last well past 100 years of vitality and wellness. Here are a few things we can do every day:

  1. Make one better decision about what you eat. Drop the sugar or salt you usually add to your food. Enjoy one less beer, or one more helping of fiber or greens. Move away from white flour. Stop buying the things at the grocery store that do not support your health. If they are not in the kitchen, you are not as likely to eat them. Rethink how you look at food: from a source of pleasure, to a source of necessary fuel. Food is fuel. Bad fuel causes engine failure. Good fuel wins races.

  2. Drink more water. Put a gallon of water in the refrigerator and make it your goal to consume it every day.

  3. Add one more physical activity. Walk the stairs instead of taking the elevator. Walk to the mailbox. Hire a personal trainer. Stretch. Do something fun and physical every day.

  4. Take time to relax … even 20 minutes a day can make a difference. Give yourself permission to lie in the hammock or take a quiet bath.

YOUR WEALTH

This is your ticket to freedom, fun, adventure and contribution. Anyone can become wealthy. The level you need for freedom is different from others. Find your number. How much in assets and income do you want in order to live life to the fullest? Then do the following every day:

  1. Add value to YOU as a professional. It does not matter if you are a chicken chopper or a rocket scientist … add value to your income-earning self. Learn something new that has value to your clients or employer. Add a new skill. Develop a new distinction. Form a new habit. Offer more of your professional self than you have before. You will earn more every year.

  2. Save more. Save more of what you spend money on now. Look for ways to get the same value for less money. Buy a three-year-old car versus brand new. Eat out once less each month. Exchange full cable services for the basic. Anyone can figure out how to save $100 a month off just his or her existing expenses. One hundred dollars saved and invested over 30 years equals hundreds of thousands in wealth. Just $100 a month!

  3. Invest more in appreciating assets, and less in depreciating assets. Appreciating assets include real estate, home improvements, your professional value, stocks and bonds. Depreciating assets include autos, entertainment, gifts and impulse purchases. Just by shifting a few hundred dollars you will add hundreds of thousands to your net worth.

  4. Build a royalty residual income. Even when built part time, this residual income adds significant wealth. Five hundred dollars a month in residual income is, in itself, “worth” $50,000. The added $500 a month you invest in real estate or stocks can be worth hundreds of thousands over time. Residual income can come from a solid Network Marketing business, an online business, or writing a book about something for which you have a passion.

HOW YOU ACT

Are you kind? Are you compassionate? Are you generous? Do you give credit to others? Do you speak encouraging words? Do you speak about people’s strengths to others? Do you work enthusiastically? Do you do what you say you will do? Do you tell your truth when it could be a contribution? Do you listen to empower others?

How you and I act creates our value in the world … to the people around us like family, friends, coworkers and clients. When we act with excellence, speak with excellence, listen with excellence, and behave as excellent as we can in the moment, we are valued, we are attractive, we are trusted and we are loved.

Do these things every day to improve how you act:

  1. Make a commitment to say something kind every day … then increase it to every hour.

  2. Make the same commitment to do something kind every day. “Pay it forward.”

  3. Make the same commitment to listen to someone … really listen to what they are saying, what they are not saying, what they really want to say, and how they feel. Listen to someone at a therapeutic level once a day.

  4. Audit your conversations. Develop the habit of asking yourself after each statement, “What was my motive in saying what I said and how I said it? Was it to contribute to the person, or to make myself look good?” Then ask yourself how you feel about someone who speaks to make themselves look good, more important than you, or more “right” than you.

  5. Make a bold request every day that will improve a relationship, business productivity, or will improve another person. For example, make a bold request that a friend or loved one stop speaking negatively about him or herself – battering their own poor self esteem. Or make a request that your spouse do something that you know will improve your love and relationship. When bold requests are made out of the context of support and improvement, they are often the tipping point that leads a person to act with excellence.

HOW YOU REACT

If actions are those things we think about (however briefly) before doing them, then reactions are those things we do without thinking. They are our built-in boomerang, over which we may feel we have no control or personal responsibility. Most people react in negative and destructive ways.

We can develop new “reactions” by developing new interpretations and habits. Here are some examples:

  1. When someone speaks down to you, what do you think and how do you feel about it? What is your reaction? Do you feel they think you are smaller and less than them? Do you think they may be right? Do you react with anger and retaliation, or do you shut down? How would it change your reaction if, when someone spoke down to you, you “interpreted” that they, themselves, feel small and could really use a lift. This new interpretation gives you a perfect opportunity to engage in improving how you act (See steps 1-5 above).

  2. When someone is late, do you think they disrespected you? How do you retaliate? What if instead, you interpreted their lateness as due to a life in overwhelm, a sick child, or someone being late for them? Do you see how that changes your reaction and gives another opportunity for steps 1-5 above?

  3. When someone in authority tells you “no” or tells you to do something versus asking, how do you react? What if you interpreted that this leader is working on their path of developing compassionate leadership; that they have more responsibilities than they can handle and they need support? Again, see steps 1-5 above.

HOW YOU ATTRACT

Attraction is that mysterious energy that brings us a lucky outcome … the client or order we needed just in time; the idea that breaks the log jam and propels us into massive productivity; or the person that just popped into our life and filled a void, either romantically or personally. We all know people who seem to hit the jackpots of life, over and over again. We all know people who seem to always land on their feet and are always running with the wind towards their goals.

The lucky ones are those who were gifted by their parents with belief in themselves, such that they see every opportunity as a probability and inevitability. Everything can get done and should get done. No obstacle is too high or too wide. They deserve – not from an egotistical viewpoint, but from a spiritual abundance viewpoint – everything they choose to earn. They are the lucky ones. They are the one percent. About one out of 100 of us had parents lucky or wise enough to pass that gift on.

Now For the Rest of Us…

There is a path, proven a billion times, which will bring any of us the luck in life we so richly deserve. It is a simple path of vision and self motivation. It goes like this…

AUTHENTIC CORE VALUES

We each have a set of “rules” that makes us uniquely who we are. These rules define what is most important to us in life … what gives us life. To us, these rules are as essential as air and water. We must have them to be all we can be. Values are just labels for these rules … labels of the things we hold dear to us. There are no limits to the labels you can place on what you consider to be your authentic core values. Here are just a few examples:

Love … Fun … Adventure … Family … Spirituality … Leadership … Success … Discovery … Friendship … Excellence … Abundance … Honesty … Creativity …

The first step in the path, is to learn through self-discovery, self-listening and asking the right questions. What are your authentic core values? You will want to list them, keep them visually present, and refer to them as often as possible.

IMPOSED VALUES

We each also have a set of "rules" or imposed values. These are rules to live by handed down by authority figures in our lives, usually during our formative years (ages 1-5). Imposed values are not our authentic rules, but usually our parents’ rules; either authentic for them, or imposed by their parents (our grandparents). Here are some examples:

Hard Work … Education … Responsibility … Cleanliness … Success …
Family … Leadership … Spirituality … Security … Acceptance … Safety …

As you will notice, imposed values can also be authentic core values. What is authentic for one person, may be imposed for another. And just because your parents “insisted” that you live by a rule, does not mean it is not authentic for you. Identifying what is authentic for you is something only you can discover for yourself.

To capitalize on the laws of attraction, you will want to move away from living your life by any imposed rules. For when we live by imposed rules, you and I are always in conflict, always fighting, always resisting … and this is not the energy that attracts anything good.

Learn your imposed values, write them down and create a life plan to move away from them. This is not easy, nor will it usually happen quickly. And, it must happen for the real power you possess in your life to show up for you.

GIFTS

Each of us has also been fortunate to be given gifts. Gifts are those attributes that come naturally to us, and which contribute to other people. Gifts are not truly gifts if they cannot be contributed to the benefit of others. Examples of gifts are:

Love … Friendship … Leadership …
Creativity … Safety … Joy

Listening … Honesty … Fun …

Learn your gift (or gifts) and again, write them down and keep them close to your daily living.

Once you know who you are (authentic values and gifts) you are ready to imagine what you want to do with your life, what you want to have in your life and, most importantly, who you want to be. This is as simple as writing a story … a story of how your life would be, could be and will be, if you could have it all.

Writing this story is like writing the screenplay of your life. It can be one page long or 100 pages long. It does not really matter, because for those diligent and deserving souls who get this far in knowing themselves, the rest is easy. The rest, as they say, is almost out of your hands.

WRITE YOUR STORY

As you write it, embrace the authentic YOU that has been uncovered. Write it with all the imagination of Walt Disney and then …

Learn to Believe It!

Most people in the world “believe” that beliefs are inherited, or are solely based on what has already occurred in one’s life. The truth is that all beliefs are learned, and most become self-fulfilling prophecies … meaning they became the truth because someone believed in them enough to make them true.

There are three ways to learn to believe. Either by studying evidence of the intended belief, believing what an authority figure tells us, or just imagining it (affirming it) over and over and over again. Most of what you and I believe today – about life, people, religion and even about politics – we learned from the repeated affirmations by those whom we trust. We can have the same imprinting process on ourselves, by imagining and affirming our own story.

When you have done this so often that you are starting to believe your imagined story, you will have created a vision. By definition, a vision is a story we fully believe, and which we expect to materialize. Visions, by definition, are inevitable. A vision attracts its components to it, like a magnet.

A vision creates the motivation to bring it about. Motivation is that mysterious, powerful concoction of enthusiasm, courage, physical energy and creativity that makes things happen. Visions are lucky. Visionaries are the luckiest.

Find the true-blue you. Write the story of your future abundance. Learn to believe it is true for you. And then, all you have to do is hold on to being the best you can be.

The MLM Candidates. By Richard Brooke.

Hi Folks,

For Network marketing professionals the main issue is getting enough people to share the product and opportunity. Here a classical article by Richard Brooke, CEO of Oxyfresh ( http://www.oxymarketplace.com ), master these basic principles and you never run out of new prospects.

To your Success,

Octavio Ochoa

-------------------------------------------

The MLM Candidates

Where do you find them?
How do you interest them?

Maintaining a constant source (or sources) of people to talk to about your opportunity is the weak link in most MLM leaders business plan. Finding a constant flow is the Holy Grail of business builders. If you can keep them coming to look you will find some that are ready to play. The key is to have enough coming to look. So how do you keep them coming?

There are two types of MLM leads:

One is the person you network your way into.
The second is one for which you pay.

The first type of leads are people that you either already know or are willing to meet and build enough rapport with so that you can invite them to take a look. A full 90 percent of successful MLM leaders were introduced to their opportunity by someone they know...hence the nomenclature Network Marketing. So as painful as it is, you have to ask: Who do you know?

A more expanded way of looking at it is not so much who you know, but rather who knows you? If you have any center of influence about you at all, there are more people who know you than people you know. Are you, or have you been, on any boards or committees? Have you ever held any kind of office? Have you ever written anything that was published for others to read? Have you ever had anything written about you? Think. Who knows you?

Who knows you?

You are most likely already teaching your new distributors to make a list. But do you have one? Is yours perpetual? Keeping an ever-expanding list of candidates is a must for keeping your pipeline full of possibilities.

Once in a Names List and Sponsoring training, I had a new leader who was only approaching one candidate a week. I asked him what was missing that he was not talking to a lot more people. I asked him how many people he had on his list. He had 12. He was only approaching one a week because he did not want to run out. (Reminds me of the guy in one of my Vision Workshops who wrote his vision to: “Try it for three months and if it doesn’t work, quit!”)  Think about it. Think about the sense of urgency. Think about your sense of urgency if you have 12 people on your list versus if you have 1,200.

Spend the time to spend the money.

So how do you keep an ever-growing list of candidates that either you know or who know you? Dedicate time and practice to it. What if you scheduled 30 minutes a week to brainstorm names of people you can add to your list? The biggest missing piece for leaders to keep their list growing; they do not consistently dedicate time to do it. Spend the time to spend the money.

So what do you do with the time? Simple, interview yourself. Interview yourself using the same type categories you use with your new distributors. Who do you know that is a ___________? Go through the Yellow Pages or an online occupational registry and fill in the blank with occupations. It is the easiest way to trigger who you know. Combining these two pieces always results with the experienced, “thought they ran out of warm market” leaders to add 100 more names to their list in 30 minutes.

Try it. Take a group. Set them up with this training and a trigger occupation list. Give them 30 minutes in a live setting. Ask them to hit at least 100. Give a prize to whomever adds the most names to their list. Then let them talk about the experience. It works every time. Do it for yourself once a week and you will never run out of warm market leads.

Networking…expanding the circle of people who trust you and
utilizing that network to produce intended results.

This is the core of our art. This is how you continuously add to the list of people that you know and who know you. Here are the steps to mastering it:

  1. Make yourself visible, whether on the net, in person or in print. Join groups; be they Internet forums, chats, blogs or slogs. Join Toastmasters, the local yoga class or coach your kids’ sports teams. The best networkers are continually expanding their circle of influence by participating in groups.

One of my favorites is to read the daily paper and look for free presentations by experts; be it health, financial, real estate, etc. There are always events going on where like-minded people gather in the right frame of mind.

  2. Make yourself attractive. Being around a group of new people will not support you if you are not attractive, interesting, curious and compelling. This is an entire sub-art of building your business but here are the highlights:

Look good. Pay attention to how you are groomed and dressed. People like to hang out with sharp looking people. Pay attention to your car. A soccer mom with a mini-van full of fast food cartons does not scream financial freedom. Manage your hygiene. Manage your image. Whether you are or not, act confident, warm, calm, intense, loving, interested, happy, fun and adventuresome.

Sound good. Ask questions. Be curious about others. Look for the “gold” in others and acknowledge it. Show enthusiasm, conviction and energy.

Listen well. Nothing is more attractive to others than someone who listens. Ask intuitive, esteem-building (for the other guy) questions…and listen to the answers. “So Mary, what do you think you did to become so successful?” Listen for what they are saying. Listen for what they are avoiding saying. Listen for what they want you to “get” about them. Listen to their heart.

Serve. Second to listening, nothing builds rapport faster than serving others. If this is not a genuine value of yours, make it one. Look for opportunities to network others together for their own good, absent you. Look for opportunities to support others in any way to further their goals.

Stay in touch. Communication will set you apart from others in the group. Take the time to communicate often and powerfully, always looking to serve. Of course you cannot do that unless you have their contact information. Return yourself to your “hunting and gathering” ancestors.  Hunt for candidates. Hunt for opportunities to honor and serve them. Gather their contact information. Gather their interests, their values, their passions and their fears.

  3. Make yourself a catalyst. Let’s say you meet someone – a barber, or a pizza guy, or an interior designer. You may see them as one candidate. In actuality, they are a window to hundreds – even thousands – of others.

Let’s say you were to ask the barber: “Who do you know that is a health food nut (aficionado)? Who do you know that is a chiropractor, a coach, a teacher, a plain ol’ go-getter?  Who do you know that lives in Colorado, Florida, San Francisco?  Who do you know that has a lot of pets or has had any kind of health problems lately? Who do you know that may not want anyone to notice, but would really love to lose some weight? Why do I ask, you say? Well,  _________ are perfect candidates for this income opportunity I am taking advantage of and I am looking to work with someone like that. They tend to do very, very well.”  Or: “My company is looking to expand in that location and we are looking for these kinds of people.”

In ten minutes, you can take one candidate and open their window to dozens more, each themselves a window to dozens.  Let’s see, 12 who get 12 who get 12….

  4. Make yourself into Picasso. It is all about motivation. Candidates take a look at our opportunity, get involved and make something happen for themselves and others when they are motivated to do so. Only about two percent of us wake up and stay motivated throughout the day…naturally, on our own.
The other 98 percent of us fall into two categories: About half are tolerant of the status quo, and only committed to maintaining it and making small gradual improvements. The rest are in a state of worry, depression, self-sabotage – on their way to a financial, physical and emotional meltdown. There is nothing we can do in short order for the later group. Steer clear of them. The group of “status-quoers” has possibilities. They can be motivated. All we have to do is paint them a picture.

Fortunately, we humans are teleological in nature. We think in pictures. If I say, "I am having a bad day today,” you will try to tune your TV head into what you think that might look like. You imagine what might be going on and you do it in pictures. Our “thoughts” start out as words, which we convert to pictures, which we then “get” feelings about.

Words to Pictures to Feelings. That is the process. If we are feeling bad, we get weak and sick, and we make weak and sick decisions. If we are feeling good we are strong and healthy, and we make good, powerful decisions.

Almost every candidate you encounter will not be (in the moment) thinking good, powerful, optimistic thoughts about how great a day, week or year they are having. Most will be “talking, thinking, feeling” just enough to get through the day.

As their Picasso, your opportunity is to paint them a picture of fun, success, freedom, abundance, honor, safety, community, creativity and a big check from your company next week.

  5. Play Leapfrog with them. “Leapfrogging” is the art of jumping over your candidates fears, frustrations and limiting beliefs about what they can do, and paint a picture for them of what someone they know can do.

For example: I am talking to the barber. On a scale of 1 to 10, he is currently motivated to do something extra and extraordinary with his life...a 3. There is not much to work with there. So I ask him: “Who do you know that has a lot of pets they are always talking about?”

He replies: “Well, Mary has a bunch of whatevers and she is always talking about them. Why?”

I respond: “Because I am having a lot of fun with a second income program. People are earning some pretty exciting checks from this company I work with, sometimes within their first month. And some of the very best people earning the most are people who really love their pets and love to talk about them. I am looking to work with people like that. And by the way, this company will give you the opportunity to earn a great royalty on what Mary does just for introducing me to her. Could you find a home for an extra $1,000 a month?”

  6. Make yourself their Leader. Leadership is simply the ability to lead people to do things, go places and become something they would not do of their own initiative. Most people you know (and will get to know) will not lead themselves into a great MLM opportunity. They misunderstand and mistrust the concept too much. You can lead them to discover it by taking a leadership role in the “Second income, back-up plan, residual income wealth building” part of their life.
You have the opportunity. You know it. You have the upline partnerships and the experience to partner with them to support them in building something substantial for themselves. You must see and feel yourself in this role and you must do it powerfully...not forcefully. Gracefully and powerfully. If this is not you, make it you. Pursue your personal development with a passion.
It is very easy to see how well this works to “open” people’s minds to not only the possibilities, but also the probabilities. It works. It works so well that if you decide to become a professional (one who makes money) in Network Marketing, you will never need to run an ad, accost people in the mall, do phony surveys, buy leads or harass your friends and family again. So although there are legitimate ways to create a cold market flow of leads, when you master the above techniques, you will not need them.

Rock on.

"The Price of the Promise of Network Marketing". Mark Yarnell Story.

Mark Yarnell, minister in a small town in Texas, was headed for bankruptcy and just about to lose his car and home. He looked for a way out and discovered network marketing. Luckily, he had a wise sponsor.

The sponsor gave Mark "THE PROMISE". "This business can set you free financially in one to three years." But he also gave him "THE PRICE" "To succeed, you will have to face and conquer 4 major enemies."

Mark said, "It's a deal."

Mark began by inviting 200 friends over to his house to watch a video. 80 said "No, not interested"

 - Mark had encountered ENEMY #1: Rejection.

He thought, "No problem. My sponsor warned me about that. I've got120 people still coming over." Guess what?

 - He had just encountered ENEMY #2: Deception.

Mark thought, "No problem. My sponsor warned me about that. I've got 70 people who watched the tape." Guess what? 57 said "Not Interested".

 - He had just encountered ENEMY #3: Apathy.

Undaunted, Mark thought, "No problem. 13 people signed up." Guess what? 12 of them dropped out of the business shortly thereafter.

- He had just encountered ENEMY #4: Attrition.

Attrition had left Mark with just one serious associate. But to this day, that single distributor earns Mark over $50,000 per month.

Mark Yarnell's story is NOT Unique!

You may have heard of Bill Britt, one of the most successful distributors in Amway. Some years ago, 20/20 did a feature story on Amway. They spent 19 minutes interviewing whiners and complainers - several distributors who had failed and showed the garages full of products they couldn't sell. During the last minute of the show, Mr. Britt was interviewed in front of his palatial home. He was asked, "Mr. Britt, this business has obviously worked for you. What's your secret?"

He replied, "There is no secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, 'No' and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire." Like Mark Yarnell, Bill worked through the numbers.

Jason Boreyko, former co-founder of New Vision, told this story recently. When he was a distributor in Matol, he signed up 50 people. He heard a lot of "No's" on the way to those 50. Jason took one man, who he knew would be terrific in the business to lunch, told him about the business and the man said "No." Jason took the man to lunch again the next month and told him the updates. Once again the man said, "No." Jason sent him some more information and took him to lunch again the next month. And again the man said, "No." That went on for six months. The seventh month, something had changed for the man, and he said, "Yes." That man made Jason over one million dollars. Jason also worked through his numbers.

According to Richard Poe in Wave Three while starting Amway, Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel, America's eleventh richest people, recruited 500 people. 495 dropped out. The five that didn't quit built Amway. All $7 billion of Amway's business was built under those 5 people. Jay and Rich had to work through their numbers. There are many similar stories. Jeff, the top money earner in Mannatech, signed up 27 people his first month.

One might think that he is especially talented at sponsoring. Actually, Jeff will be the first to tell you that he is not talented at all.

In fact, he feels that he did very poorly. To recruit those 27, Jeff talked to 2000 people that first month. And of the 27, the only one who did anything significant with the business was Ray Gebauer, who has more than half of Mannatech in his downline.

Jeff's word to you is that the numbers never lie. Pick your goal and then get into massive action. If you talk to enough people, you will make it!

Here's the lesson: Your success is directly related to the degree to which you are willing to work to find others like yourself who are committed to succeed. Mark Yarnell's odds were 1 out of 50. (Jeff's were really 1 out of 2000.) Would you be willing to go through 200 people to find the 1 who will make you $50,000 a month? Or go through 200 people to become a millionaire? Or hear uncounted "No's" to sign up 50 people to find a million dollar person? I hope you will. It's easier when you know the odds up front.

But here's the catch: You have your own set of odds and you won't know what they are until AFTER YOU'VE SUCCEEDED. So if you've gone through 50 or 100 people and you haven't found 1 serious person yet, you can either give up and assume the business doesn't work or recognize that you are working through your own numbers.

Are you willing to find out what your own set of odds is?

That means that you must pay the price for freedom. Remember that the numbers never fail you. Despite where you are in your skill level, your success is assured if you talk to enough people. And as your skill improves, so will your odds.

There is no such thing as luck in this industry. Winning big is a matter of being willing to pay the price.

Are you?

Your future is in your hands!

The choices which you make today will determine the course of your entire future.

May you have a Successful Future in all aspects of Your Life.

Four Cornerstones of Network Marketing

There are four simple aspects of an MLM business that make it work and make it very valuable. We call them Cornerstones. Understand them. Believe in them. Show them powerfully to others. Then you will be in a position to build your very own empire.

The People | The Sales | The Money | The Asset

Cornerstone 1: The People
Network Marketing is a lot of people doing a little bit each, as opposed to a traditional direct sales business model where a few people do a lot. In direct sales, $1 million in sales might be achieved with 100 superstar sales reps, each with a $10,000 quota. In MLM, you swap the numbers: 10,000 “anybody” volunteers each doing an average of $100 in sales. So how does one get 10,000 people, or even 1,000?

Two laws allow us to gather 1,000 people. The first was written by the creators for the MLM concept who said, in essence: “Anyone can, and should sponsor others.” This allows the second law: geometric progression. We know this math as two who get two equals four, who get two equals eight, who get two equals 16, and so on. This is geometric progression - a penny doubled every day for a month equals over $5 million. The one variable in applying geometric progression is a belief in it.

This progression can quickly be overwhelming. But your role in Network Marketing is just to get the first two of four - not the whole bunch. Focus your attention (and your prospects’ attention) on just the first four. The question could be asked: “Could you get four people somewhere in the world to do this?” Most people would answer yes. Lock in on that yes, it will generate belief in geometric progression. The essence of this model is that each person is only responsible for seeing and believing they can get four. Anyone can see themselves doing that.

Cornerstone 2: The Sales
Most people looking at an opportunity that involves a product or service and making money think they have to sell a lot of stuff. Most prospects do not see themselves selling a lot of stuff. It is important that they see the difference between direct sales and MLM. The sales are simply created by the Distributors using and offering products. Distributors merely shifting where they buy from (redirected spending) creates a lot of MLM sales. We buy here now, instead of there.

Now consider the customers. The question to ask here is: “How many customer families like yours do you need to meet your MLM sales quota?” Most MLM opportunities have a monthly sales target of $50 to $100. So if you are using $50 a month, how many customers just like you do you need to hit a target of $100? Yes, the answer is one.

Cornerstone 3: The Money
This is the easiest cornerstone to understand and believe. Every MLM company has a compensation plan that pays you on most, if not all, of the many levels of people in your group as a result of you sponsoring your first, second, third and fourth levels. These plans vary; on an average they will pay you between 3 and 10 percent on everyone in your business. You can simply add up all the people times all the sales and multiply the total by the average payout of your plan. This gives you the money.

Cornerstone 4: The Asset
This is often the most overlooked value of building an MLM business. Yes, you can earn a great part-time income in Network Marketing. The real value of an effectively built MLM business is the residual nature of the income, meaning it should continue to flow long after you do anything in particular to make it flow. An organization built the right way in the right company should last a lifetime, and beyond.

Here are some requirements to building your empire right, and in the right company:

  • The company must stay in business for as long as you want the money to flow.
  • You and your people will need to respect, admire and trust the company.
  • The products/services need to be high quality, high value, and in demand.
  • High quality relationships must be built. You with your frontline four; them with their four, and so on.
  • You will need to be a leader by profession, as will many of the people in your group.
  • You will need to believe in, respect and admire the MLM wealth-building model.
  • You will need to believe in yourself and your value to others.

Build your network right and its sales and your income should flow long after you have anything to do with actively managing or growing it. That does not mean you ignore it or fail to nurture it. When we build or buy something that produces income without working it daily, it becomes an asset worth money in proportion to the income it produces. Income-producing assets are generally worth 10 to 20 times the annual income they produce. For example, if you own a rental home that pays you $1,000 a month in rent, it is worth $100,000 to $200,000. Or if you had $200,000 in stocks, bonds, etc., you would earn $10,000 to $20,000 a year in dividends or appreciation.

In pursuing financial security or more from life, people tend to pursue real estate investments or stocks (which require money to invest). These investments require time to produces enough income to provide security. Imagine or calculate how long, and at what rate of investment, it would require to amass $1 million in real estate. Not your residence, but rental real estate. It could easily take a lifetime of sacrifice, risk and management. And $1 million in real estate might earn you $5,000 a month.

Compare that to investing $1,000 once and 10-20 hours a week for 4 to 5 years to earn the same residual income. Which is more appealing and more achievable to you? Yeah, us too.
