-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leaders Equal Residual Income

Every project for residual income (in any Compensation Plan) can be, and should be, converted to a quantity of leaders. Instead of focusing on how much money you will earn, convert the income to how many leaders you will need to create the income. You can create and manage a plan to create leaders much easier than creating a plan to create volume and/or income.

For example:

Your goal is to earn $3,000 per month. Based on your Compensation Plan, you know that can be done by creating $20,000 per month in Total Volume through three separate, successful Established Legs. Therefore, what you will want to do is plan to create three leaders, one in each Leg.

Leaders Equal Established Legs

A successful Established Leg is not created by looking at volume or even the number of active distributors. It is best defined by an organizational leader. Once you have a leader in the Leg, the leader will establish the Leg and grow it from there.

What Defines an Organizational Leader?

  1. They have a clear vision of what they intend to accomplish.
  2. They have created a project and a plan for its attainment.
  3. They are self-motivated by their vision, maintaining their enthusiasm, their persistence, their attitude, and most important, their actions.
  4. They are producing their intended results.
Until you have someone who meets all four of these criteria, you do not have a leader. You may have a nice person who works hard and wants very much to be successful. You may even have someone who will do everything you ask and go everywhere there is to go. But until they produce consistently from their own motivation, they cannot be counted on for leadership.

State the Goal as Leadership

It will serve you well to always express your organizational and compensation goals in terms of leaders. Focusing on Compensation Plan titles and income levels creates a shallow and often misguided approach to achieving the goal. Compensation Plan titles are often achievable, even though you don’t have the organization and leaders to sustain the title. You can temporarily stretch for a title whereby you get the title, but the way you went about it left you with an empty shell of an organization. You have the title, but not the substance. You create an "out of integrity" situation for yourself. When you are out of integrity you lose your power and your energy. You become angry and frustrated. It’s downhill from there.

Make titles and income take a backseat to leadership. Have them be by-products of achieving your goal. Make your goal to develop yourself as a powerful leader and to attract other powerful leaders to your organization.

10 Key Benefits Why MLM Programs Are Great Businesses

10 Key Benefits Why MLM Programs Are Great Businesses
Posted by O. Ochoa.  http://www.workyourfortune.com

There is an important lesson to be learned from traditional business that can be applied to Network Marketing.

I'd like to discuss 10 key benefits why MLM programs are great businesses. Use these benefits to promote your MLM Program and to recruit anyone in your organization.

1. Small amount of risk:

There is a certain amount of inherited risk involved when you become an entrepreneur.

We are confronted with losing money, wasting time, not being in profit right away, etc. In a traditional brick and mortal business, the startup cost associated with opening that business is what holds many people back from becoming the creators of their own destiny.

People do not like risk and try to avoid it by all means. We'd like a "guaranteed bet" and stay within "our safe zone". In business, you don't eliminate risks you learn to minimize them.

The advantage of starting an MLM Program is that there is a small risk to get started. With a couple of hundred dollars, it is possible to get started with a company of your choice, marketing products that you consume already. The amount of financial commitment is insignificant compared to that of traditional business.

2. A huge demand for good quality products:

There are a myriad of network marketing companies that promote very good products. If I were considering a company to get involved with, I would always ask myself:

* Would I still consume these products/services if there were no opportunity to market them?

* Do these products bring any benefits to a consumer besides the opportunity to make money?

* Would I bring "value" to my customers if they consume these products?

Every business needs repeat customers. Distributors only get paid when they have consumers for their products and when these customers continue that consumption, then that creates the money flow.

3. Residual income:

I am sure that you pay your gas, your electricity, and your phone bill every single month. These are the types of services that for the most part provide an ongoing stream of residual income for these companies.

The greatest advantage of an MLM Program is that it gives you an opportunity to enjoy residual income just like those companies do.

When the initial effort of getting a new customer is completed, you can enjoy the residual part of that business relationship.

We are so used to trading our time for wedges that we often times don't see the potential residual income of an MLM Affiliate Program. By direct selling your products, you can also claim your share of the residual income pie.

4. The income potential:

There is no cap on how much money you can generate. In my corporate jobs, my big limitation was that regardless how hard I worked for these companies; my income was tied to a "market standard" for someone with my skills.

In an MLM Program, that's not the case. It is up to you to decide how much you want to earn. An MLM company doesn't hold you back in the same way the corporate environment does.

As long as you have the skills set of a trained network marketer, you make whatever income based on your stamina, dedication, and your willingness to help others.

The skills set is key. Once you trained yourself to become a marketer, you can market anything you choose and generate that income you seek.

5. No employees to hire:

By far, this is a clear advantage over traditional businesses. An mlm affiliate program is a business of people independently working together.

Without any employees, it's possible to build a business right from home. This industry gives you that added benefit, be in business without employees concerns, by having a network of independent business owners working together towards a common goal.

6. No inventory:

Traditionally Network Marketing companies would have distributors stack up on inventory. This concept alone has given the industry a bad wrap for years.

However, modern companies do capitalize on the technology and tools we have in place. We have:

· Internet Telephony

· The Internet

· Drop Shipping Ability

· Consumer Leads

· Conference Lines

· Web Conference

· High Speed Internet Access

Not having to inventory products will make your business more agile to any market condition.

7. Low operating Costs:

The network marketing model makes possible to run a business at low costs compared to any other business model.

This is where your upline's support should come in. A good upline mentor should allow you to piggyback on his expertise, on his knowledge, on his leads, and help you generate the funds to pay off your initial investment and get in profit early in the life of your business.

8. Leverage:

Your MLM Program is a:

· people business

· business of appointments

· business of helping consumers find what they have the need for

· business of helping others create businesses.

You reap the rewards by leveraging the efforts of those you help. This develops a collective mindset that promotes "win-win" relationships.

9. Portability:

With the advent of technology, we can do today what distributors 15 years ago could not do and that's to make our business portable.

We now have a phone technology that allows you to take your telephone and move it anywhere you like transparently to your customers.

As long as you have access to the Internet via DSL or Cable, you can take your computer, your phone, and continue doing business while you are on the road, on vacation, or visiting relatives whether that be in another city or another country!

10. The attainable freedom:

Imagine having a productive business in network marketing providing you with a lifestyle that only the rich and famous enjoy. When all the pieces are in place, the life of a marketer can be very fulfilling indeed.

That's the dream every new distributor chases and it is only attainable when there is a clear understanding of how to get there and when your marketing skills are sharp.

It is not just the money, but the fulfillment of a lifestyle that makes an MLM Affiliate Program the best business to get in and your skills is what make it happen, period!

Building Trust, Admiration and Respect. By R. Brooke.

Hi Folks , today I want to share another great article written by Richard. Learn some facts about Network marketing that will guide you to massive success.

I hope you learn and enjoy learning as I do.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Building Trust, Admiration and Respect

In today’s world of over-selling, hype and fraud at the highest levels of our society, nothing could be more important to a sales person and business owner than building trust, admiration and respect with prospects, customers and associates. Most of us are in a highly suspect business to begin with. Network Marketing, to some people, does not spell value, honor and integrity. Yet to us it does. So how do we bridge the gap and shine some light on what we see in our chosen profession?

Trust
Trust is obviously not given automatically. It must be earned. Too often, we take it for granted — either because we trust ourselves, trust others or fail to recognize in the moment how others may see our offer of financial gain. Trust is earned through what we say and what we do. In these actions we must become predictable and believable to others.

Predictable means that others must learn, based on what we say and do, that we are consistent. For example, doing what we say we will do. Early in a relationship this can be as simple as showing up or calling on time; or following through completely on getting an answer to a question. Later, as people feel they know who we are and what we stand for, they expect to see us act according to that identity. This is called having integrity and it creates trust.

‘When you have the courage show people glimpses of your humanity; then what they get is you.’

Believable means that people tend to believe what we say. In this sense, it is sometimes not the best idea to tell the truth. Perhaps you do earn $20,000 a month part time. Maybe it would continue to flow whether you worked it or not, making it worth four to five million. If who you are telling this truth to cannot fathom it then you may be gaining in ego but losing in trust. People need to be able to believe what you say — both in its content and, most importantly, how you say it. Sincerity can be faked. Authenticity cannot.

Authenticity is the real you. All of you — the good, bad and the ugly. When you have the courage to tell people not just all of your wonderfulness, but also show them glimpses of your humanity; then what they get is you. And even though you will not be perfect, people believe in the authenticity and humanity of others. Perhaps you do have an extraordinary income opportunity or product to sell and perhaps you have failed to execute it yourself at times or perhaps you sometimes feel your product is expensive. Give them the whole you and nothing but you. People trust that.

Admiration
As you might expect, a lot of admiration can be created from building trust. So the path gets shorter after building trust. Obviously, people admire others for what they have accomplished. You may or may not have that going for you at the moment. Accomplishments take time. What you can do right now to be admired will depend on who you are for others. What we mean by this is what you contribute to the people who might admire you. Here, the greatest tool at your disposal is listening.

Listening is an extraordinary gift that can be practiced by all of us, all the time. It is such a unique and extraordinary gift to others that when we give it they can be blown away by its impact on them, yet not know exactly what we did to have such an impact. Listening at this level has little to do with understanding the content of what someone says — although their name is worth remembering the first time they say it. Listening here is about hearing the source of their comments; hearing the emotion behind their conversation and the intent behind what they are telling you. More than anything in the world, human beings want and need to be heard, known, accepted and loved. When we are telling someone a story important to us, about us or just our opinion about something, we very much need for the listener to get it, to really understand what we are saying and why. This is often not found in the words being spoken, but rather in the energy of the speaker. A powerful listener will put their own desire and need to be heard, known and accepted on hold while they are fully focused and accepting of who is speaking and what is being said. This level of what we call Therapeutic Listening does actually heal people as it is perhaps the first time since true love that someone listened to them in this way.

Respect
Respect flows with gaining trust and admiration. And the value of respect in this business is that people tend to follow those whom they respect. Trust alone is often not enough, nor is admiration. But with respect, people will often buy what you are selling and go where you are going.

On top of trust and admiration, you can gain respect with two powerful tools. One is your character. Having character in the eyes of others means they are clear about what your highest values are and understand that you honor those values. This is to know someone. If you know someone well enough to know that family, integrity, fun and leadership are the most important things to them — and you experience them living a life honoring those values — then they are seen as having character. Even people whose values we do not share have character. We may (if we embrace diversity) respect them, but choose not to follow them.

In the Network Marketing profession, we are charged with the opportunity to sell products through a channel that is not always the norm for customers and to sell them on an income opportunity using a concept most are not looking for. It is not easy and it will not be done on your behalf without you having the trust, admiration and respect of those whom you need to build it with. Success comes in our business not to you but through you, based on who you can become for yourself — and for others.

Leadership That Inspires. By Richard Brooke.

Hi Folks, this article by R. Brooke, it's full of motivation ,, read it and get the energy you need to continue your successful path to the top.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leadership That Inspires

World history is full of powerful leaders; men and women who changed the direction of societies, business and culture. Nothing is more valuable to our society’s health. Yet today, leadership often feels like a missing link in business, politics, religion, education and even the family.

Sure, leadership exists. But it is seldom the kind of long-term guidance that inspires us to move powerfully in a direction that we would not necessarily move on our own initiative. And often, it lacks energy and deliberate, purposeful action.

A Vision That Contributes

More than anything, a leader has a crystal-clear Vision that is compelling enough, and contributes enough, to inspire us to pursue it. Not only do leaders have a clear Vision, they are a clear Vision to those they endeavor to lead. And they communicate in such a way that the Vision stays on the forefront of our hearts and minds.

A Vision is a living-color picture of a goal — one you can see, hear, smell, taste, and feel — held as a powerful, inevitable expectation. Visions are goals for which we are on a collision course to blow right through, and our motivation is sourced in them.

A leader listens in such a way that we feel heard; not necessarily agreed with, but at least heard and honored. They also ask us to do things that, if left to our own thinking, we would consider unreasonable, impossible or outrageous. Not things that violate our values — on the contrary, things that actually honor our values.

As a result of who they are, and how they speak and act, leaders cause us to feel stronger, happier, more "on fire" about our future. And this motivation prompts us to be powerful in our pursuits.

Character That Withstands Scrutiny

Leaders act with the ethics, morals, character and principles that are expected by their followers. A leader’s actions are consistent with his or her promises. We can count on a leader to have the integrity to be who they say they are, and to share themselves wholly and authentically — their fears, their weaknesses, their strengths and their power.

A leader stays on the path of personal and character development, knowing that none of us ever arrive. They understand that as soon as we act as if we have no room to grow, we lose our power to lead.

Just Do It … Anyway

All great endeavors are fraught with risk and adversity. Leaders are powerfully motivated by their Visions to stay on course to their goals, regardless of the obstacles. They are eternally enthusiastic. They have the courage to face their fears and go where others are afraid to go.

Leaders generate the physical wellness and energy to do the work. They possess the persistence to immediately regroup and relaunch when needed. They unleash their innate creativity to solve problems and adopt positive interpretations of all circumstances. Their journey is not dependent on what anyone thinks or whether anyone follows. They just do it … anyway!

I believe that leadership is the greatest profession of the 21st century. Nowhere will it be more richly rewarded than in the people-enrichment business. That’s our business, and I challenge you to step out and take it on. You’ll love the adventure.

Mailbox Money. The Promise of Network Marketing.

 Mailbox Money ?

Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing has been around for over 50 years. As an industry, it has earned a less than stellar reputation. Most people do not belive it to be legitimate, nor do they believe it is a viable way for them to build wealth. Most who have tried it have failed , further solidifying their beleifs about the business model.

And yet, there are 67 Million people worldwide who clain to participate at some level .. most presumably as distributors, just buying for their own consumtion. Out of 67 Million , someone has to be earning some income.. and some have to be earning a great deal.

Network marketing IS an opportunity to earn a check sent to your mailbox every month . Maybe for just enough to cover your own product usage cost; maybe for a few  hundred dollars a month. and maybe for a lot more.

This series of articles, full pf facts and true-life experieces, will help you answer the "mailbox money" question for yourself. These pages explain Network Marketing, one of the most innovative, yet misunderstood, business concepts in the world.

In this series you will learn:

- Who makes Network Marketing work, and how and why .

-How others have used Network Marketing to change their lives from ordinary to extraordinary- possible even from rags to riches.

-And most important ly, under what circumstances Network Marketing might pprovide a way for you to turn  your dreams into reality.

If You're Skeptical..

That's okay. You may find thet by the end of this book, you will have a new perspective. Maybe your doubts and skepticism will disappear. Or maybe you'll be even more convinced that Network Marketing is not for you. Either way , you'll be none the worse for having taking a closer look.

Get and advance watching the following video by Richard Brooke, the author of Mailbox money and CEo of one of the most respected companies in the entire industry.

Looking for Leaders...In All the Places. By Richard Brooke.

Folks, Network marketing is about leadership. so where do we find those leaders, Richard Brooke in this article give us the answer. Enjoy it and learn.

To your success,

Octavio Ochoa

http://www.21tenusa.com

http://www.oxyfortune.com

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking for Leaders...In All the Places

What would it be like to personally sponsor someone like you?
How does it differ from sponsoring the people like you have sponsored lately?
How much time would you have to spend "motivating, coaching, training and helping" someone like you?
How fast would someone like you advance to the higher levels in the comp plan?
Would someone like you attend all the conferences?
How much product would someone like you order initially?
How many shows would someone like you set up for your sponsor to present for you?
How many people would you need to sponsor like you to reach your income and organizational goals.
How much fun would it be to sponsor someone like you?
How would it change your outlook on the business?

Leaders make everything happen in our business. They do not individually produce the most volume but they bring with them dozens - even hundreds - of followers that in aggregate do produce the volume. Look at what you produce each month individually compared to your total volume. You are a leader and a very valuable piece of your upline's business. Your strategy in building an empire must always focus on attracting, causing to rise up out of the masses and holding on to leaders. To do this you, yourself, must be powerful and attractive. Leaders are not attracted to sort of committed, usually in action, only on fire when I sponsor someone, almost leaders. They are attracted to those who demonstrate their commitment, their actions and their fire regardless of the circumstances or obstacles.

Where Do You Find Them?

Not in all the right places. In all the places. Leaders are everywhere. Where were you? Were you poised to leap into the business as you laid in waiting on the MLM Leaders website? Doubtful. You were probably doing something unrelated, doing it well and just leading. Leaders are everywhere. It is not so much where to find them as how to flush them out of people you sponsor along the way. If you have sponsored 20 to 30 people you have probably sponsored 2 to 3 great leaders already. You may not have flushed them out. They may not have been inspired to lead in your opportunity. They may never have seen a really good reason to lead or may not have seen you as the "wind beneath their wings."

The first place you get leaders is to get a group of distributors from which to flush them out. Get the 20 to 30 and as you enroll them treat each one as though they are your next great leader. See them as so. Speak to them as so. Make requests of them as so. Give them responsibilities as so. Have expectations of them as so. They will look at you and they will respond to how you look at them. Act well your part….

Acid Tests
Often times a person will look like, talk like and even be a leader in other domains. That does not mean they will be your leader. You can determine the readiness of their potential by giving them challenges. For example, if you want them to develop a list of potential partners ask them to brainstorm 50 names, cities and occupations and get it to you within 24 hours. Or ask them to get you a couple of appointments to show the opportunity to within 48 hours. If they do you have someone with whom you should work. You have someone who is responding to your leadership. You have someone who is leading by their own example. You have someone in action. Keep challenging them.

Inspiration
Leaders want to (they don't necessarily need to) be part of a vibrant, exciting team. They want to make a difference. They want to compete. They want to be recognized. They want to set new standards. As their example you will want to set the game and challenge them to win…not necessarily beat everyone else, but just win. You want to inspire them to do something that will have them be inspired by themselves and by their people. Give them targets and show them the rewards both tangible and intangible for achieving them. Keep the game on the forefront of their minds and hearts. Keep them playing even if they falter.

Make sure part of the game is their game. What are their values? What turns their crank? What do they want to accomplish for themselves and their loved ones? Your job as their coach is to keep these inspiring notes singing to them.

You can do this by teaching them to motivate themselves by learning the Art of Vision and Self-Motivation…something they will tend to do naturally but will now be able to do as an art for themselves and others.

Get Out Of The Way
At the opportune time, you will want to get out of the way. Sometimes this is right away. Sometimes it is much later. Usually you will not go wrong getting out of the way earlier than later.

Every leader must also be a follower. And they will ratchet up their own leadership as soon as they can minimize their own following and cut their own path. You will want to be sensitive to how your leadership may be holding people back. Not that you aren't a contribution, but your leaders will grow mightily by you letting them fly. Getting out of the way just looks like letting them fail and succeed without you being there to take credit or save the day.

Make your focus this year on you being the most on-fire, attractive, in-action leader you can imagine and attracting someone like you front line. You will find your business leap forward. You will have a lot more fun and most importantly your outlook (vision) for your future will crystallize to make such progress the norm.

What It Takes to Succeed in MLM . By M. Yarnell

To this day, I still believe that Richard Kall was the best mentor in the world of MLM. I still use the many strategies he taught me, including his often-repeated statement:

“You can’t say the right thing to the wrong person or the wrong thing to the right person. Tell your story to anyone who will listen and the numbers will take care of you.”

Many people still believe that they should be out looking for “whales” and “big players,” but that’s never been a winning strategy. Those of us who manage to earn the big checks are always looking for people who are at the right time in their lives to join and participate.

Ninety percent of my lifetime residual income has been produced by a former maid, a former police officer and a former high school musical instrument salesman. The NFL star, mayor, surgeon and lawyer all failed as members of my frontline because they simply weren’t recruited at the right time in their lives.

I personally went from minnow to whale in one year because I was desperate. Look for minnows like me… they might just grow on you.

Tips For Building Your Own Network Marketing Empire. By Richard Brooke.

Hi Folks,  another great article for  you who choose network marketing as a career to achieve financial freedom and unlimited personal grow. In this great article Richard Brooke, CEO of Oxyfresh and 21TEN , shows with details how to  become successful building your MLM empire. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to contact if you have any question or need some help.

To your Success,

Octavio Ochoa

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tips For Building Your Own Network Marketing Empire

1. Use all your products in as many creative ways as possible. Your product experiences become your basis for retail sales.

2. Think about what you will do with your Network Marketing residual income ALL THE TIME and let yourself FEEL how it will feel. Study Crafting Your Vision™ (Audio CD).

3. Create and maintain a list of people to prospect and how to get a hold of them…there ought to be hundreds of people on it. Do NOT pre-judge their interest.

4. Study MLM like you are pursuing a four-year degree in it. Read and listen to EVERYTHING.

5. Study ALL the marketing materials available so you will know what to use and when.

6. Manage your beliefs. Study, listen to and watch people that have the beliefs you want. Learn to believe in what you want as an expectation.

7. Create a business plan…a simple one that you WILL follow every day. Boil it down to a daily action plan, then let the plan work you.

8. Treat your opportunity like any new career. Dedicate yourself to mastering it.

9. Work at least part time — 10 to 20 hours a week. Sometimers only get paid sometimes.

10. Learn to SELL the income opportunity as well as you might sell the products. More people are interested in the money.

11. Sell income and free time more than a business opportunity or home-based business. People want holes, not drill bits.

12. Don’t push ropes. Work with the willing. Work only with those who work, not those who promise to work.

13. Give yourself options from which to pick your leaders. Sponsor enough people to create some odds in your favor.

14. Sponsor and keep sponsoring until you find an Ace (worker). Then, take them DEEP! (There are always four aces in every 52 cards. Oddly enough, there are usually at least four builders out of every 52 you sponsor).

15. Be mindful of "placing people" under people. No one likes being given up for adoption. It is not as good an idea as it sounds.

16. Sponsor as though you could only do so for the next 12 months and then had to build it all from that.

17. Prospect as though you believe everyone is at least interested. They would be, if they knew what you knew…wouldn't they?

18. Keep a prospecting pace and attitude as though the company was paying you $2,000 a month JUST to introduce people to it.

19. If all you had to do was introduce the company to get paid, who would you talk to? What would you say? What would you do if they said no? Do the same thing with the same attitude and you will earn $2,000 a month and more.

20. Some will; some won't. So what? Who's next?

21. Remember, the more people who say no, the closer you are to the one who says yes. The odds PROVE it, so bank on it.

22. If time and opportunity permit, get to know people before introducing them to your opportunity. Find out what is important to them and what is missing.

23. Never be cute or creative about what it is you do. Be straight about the opportunity. Answer every question directly, followed immediately by your own question.

24. Call people by their name. They love hearing it and will love you for remembering it.

25. Leapfrog! Show people that it is who they know that can make them successful. Paint the picture of their success through their prospects.

26. Drip on everyone that has said no. What they meant was, not now. Send them something every month. Life will change for them.

27. Offer people about one-third of what you think their full-time income is. Less is boring. Much more is unbelievable.

28. Offer a specific amount of income as soon as possible. Some or a lot of money is difficult to visualize. $500 next month is hard for anyone to pass up.

29. Don't beg people to join. Beggars are not attractive. Offer the opportunity and be just fine with them not being ready.

30. Be mindful of what you are doing when you offer the opportunity to others. Would they want to do what you are doing? Prospecting for the income opportunity while working a booth at a flea market does not work.

31. Do you look like your opportunity is working for you? Are you having fun? Are you dressed attractively? Are you groomed attractively? Does your car look scary to ride in? Is your home inviting? Do you speak positively about life and others?

32. Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. Listen!

33. Edify, edify edify! Sell your sponsor, your upline, and corporate leaders. Sell them to your prospects and new distributors powerfully. Practice this.

34. Know your competition. Visit other companies’ opportunity meetings. Study their websites. See their strengths and weaknesses. Learn from them.

35. Support the dreams of your competitive distributors. Do not undermine their opportunity or attempt to lure them away. Many of them may soon be looking for something new.

36. Paint a vivid, powerful picture of the income opportunity for your prospects. People have to see it in their mind’s eye first to believe it.

37. Learn to sell the unique advantages of your opportunity: longevity, integrity, million-dollar empire builders, immediate income, paid weekly, personal development opportunities, unique products, products that create residual income, your sponsor, your upline, your corporate leaders…

38. Craft and practice your personal story on every product with which you have had success, as well as why you are engaged in the opportunity. Be brief. Be powerful. Think of how others could interpret what you say. Think of how you could say it so that they will believe you. What would it have to sound like for you to be interested?

39. Be on ready alert to offer any one of your success stories on e-mail, in meetings or on any conference call when given the opportunity. Information tells…stories sell. Master your stories. BE BRIEF. STAY ON TARGET.

40. Craft a Story Letter — a 3/4-page letter on non-company letterhead that tells the story of how and by whom you were introduced to your company; what the products did for you and what it was about the income opportunity that compelled you to take advantage of it.

41. Use your Story Letter as your primary piece of prospecting literature. Send or hand it out with anything else you offer to prospects. Add it to your web page. Update it as often as you have something powerful to add.

42. Prospect anyone and everyone with whom you would consider working. Some of the most successful Network Marketing leaders today first joined as very unsuccessful people. And, the more successful one is already (too a point of about $500,000 annual income) the easier they can see this working; the more contacts they have and the more credibility they have with those contacts. From the lowest to the highest and everyone in between…prospect them all! Remember tip #27? Offer them 1/3 of their current full-time income.

43. Less successful people will respond to immediate income, the opportunity to sell product and weekly checks starting next week. Even $50 to $100 will make a huge difference in their lives. And, they are willing to do more for it.

44. More successful people respond to monthly income and longer-term residual income and are usually willing to do less for it. Financially successful people are often dominated by their business or career and are looking for a way to replace a portion or all of their income. They are usually willing to wait longer and will invest more to make it happen. Most people that earn up to $500,000 a year could not maintain their lifestyle off liquid assets if their income stopped for more than two or three months. Being broke is a relative concept.

45. Master the Art of Leapfrogging™. Leapfrogging is showing the prospect who they know that should be successful, most often using occupations as the anchor. Paint a picture on a yellow pad of how their group should grow (1st level, 2nd level, etc.) based on knowing people in certain occupations. The leapfrogging conversation starts by asking, "Who do you know that is a __________?" More successful people must be leapfrogged so that they can see how it is who they know, or what lead generation system they have access to, that will earn them the money; not how much time they put in themselves.

46. Master the Art of Listening Through Objections™. Prospects’ objections are rarely true, even for them. These objections are merely a form of resisting being "sold". Never argue, not even subtly. Always listen: embrace, define, embellish, purge, and address.

47. Master showing your career plan: Four who get four who get four, two who get two, etc.. Focus on the four cornerstones of why it works: The People (how to amass all those people), The Sales (how do you expect $100 or your active requirement from each), The Compensation Plan (an average of 10%) and the Residual Asset Value (5 to 20 times the residual annual income). Study The 4-year Career Plan™.

Listening Through Objections

Listening through objections is the Tai Chi approach to dealing with people's questions and concerns. It is void of arguments, and as such avoids making prospects feel wrong or stupid.

Your commitment is to hear, understand and actually feel what the prospect feels before the issue is addressed.

Rule 1: Honor, but don’t believe the objection. Actual spoken objections are rarely true, even for the prospect. They are the first line of defense conjured up to express a fear or concern.

Rule 2: Embrace objections. Yes, fall in love with them. Remember, addressing them successfully is exactly what you get paid for. No objection…no sales people.

If objections create anger, frustration or fear on your part, you become unattractive. Learn to love to hear them. Become warmer, calmer and more confident as you hear them. Be more attractive.

Rule 3: Define the objection. (What exactly do they mean by it?)

Not enough time.
How much time do you imagine it will take?

Not enough capital.
How much money do you imagine it will take?

It won’t work.
What experiences do you have that leads you to that concern?

It’s a pyramid.
What do you mean by that?

I can’t sell.
What do you mean by selling?

Rule 4: Embellish the objection. Yes, embellish it. Help them state their objection even more clearly and more passionately. Seek to understand and let them know that…You Got It!

Rule 5: Purge the objection. Under every spoken objection is a fear or a concern. Listen and feel for it. Address it in your embellishments. Keep embellishing until…they shift, they laugh, they physically move, they lighten up, they get off it!

Remember: The objection is rarely true, even for them.

Everybody can make time by prioritizing.

Most people can get money for something they really want.

Everybody sells things they believe in.

Prospects want to be heard! Listen to their concerns, feel their fears, understand them, respect them, honor them, and then…address them so powerfully that they will be willing to check out whatever you are so excited about!

Rule 6: Ask permission to address it. "If you could prove to yourself how you could succeed in our business, and avoid that concern, fear or circumstance, would you take a brief look?"

Rule 7: Address it.
And do so with candor;
With power, with facts, with examples;
With success stories, with support materials;
With promises you intend to keep;
With help from your upline;
With whatever it takes to do it convincingly and with integrity.

"But each ear is listening to its hearing, so none hear."
-W. H. Auden

Step by Step:

  • Them (objection): "I don’t have time."
  • You (embrace it): Gently smile and relax.
  • You (define it): "How much time?"
  • Them (answer): "Any time, I’m swamped."
  • You (embellish): "What I’m hearing is that you are already overwhelmed and don’t need any more projects."
  • Them (purge): "Yes, I believe you got it."
  • You (ask): " If you could prove to yourself that this could fit into your schedule and help you earn enough for that much needed vacation, would you at least take a brief look?"
  • Them (answer): "Well, of course."
  • You (address it): "What if you traded your TV time for an extra $2,000 a month?"

If you need more information from them before addressing it, ask away. You’ll probably only get one chance to make your case, so make it as thorough as possible.

Them (answer): "Where do I sign?"

Prospecting for Aces. By Richard B. Brooke

Hi Folks,

Prospecting for Aces, another  great article Mr. Brooke share with us. If you are in the career to Success in Network Marketing, the techniques explined here are so valuable.

To your Success,

Octavio.

Prospecting for Aces

Most of you have seen or read about the comparison of aces in a poker deck to leaders in your names list. There are always four aces in a poker deck, regardless of how apparently illusive. The same is true for prospects.

In poker, there isn’t much you can do to coax those aces out of the deck when you need them. But in networking, there are many things you can do to attract your aces.

Prospecting Tips

  1. Maintain a long list of specific prospects: names, phone numbers, and addresses. Get administrative help to create and maintain it. A long list of prospects constantly calls to you… "call me."
  2. Set yourself "on fire"… and people will come watch you burn. Prospects are attracted to someone who is "on fire" about what they are doing. How do you do it? With a crystal-clear vision that moves you.
  3. When you prospect, be in a hurry. Act like you have 50 people to see today…. Motion creates emotion in your prospects. Inspire them with your massive action.
  4. Use money with laser precision and always use money unless your prospect gives you a better reason. Offer people one-third of what you think their full-time income is. Just guess based on their occupation if you don’t know. When you lead with a product, always follow with "When you see how effective this product is, I’ll show you how to earn $____ a month with it… part time. Would you spend 15 minutes to see how?"
  5. Limit your prospecting objective to getting a "yes" to a presentation. Don’t try to prospect someone into the business. Focus on closing for the presentation only. "Would that be worth it for you to just take a look?"
Sponsoring Tips
  1. Always leapfrog your prospect into the business. The picture of "People I know will do well at this. I already have a dynamic profitable organization" will compel your prospect to not only enroll but to hit the ground running… like a leader.
  2. Paint the big picture as you go. Show them as much as they can absorb. Leaders can visualize far more than the basic presentation offers. As long as they are receptive, show them the recognition, the trips, the leadership opportunities, the character and leadership development, the residual income, the big money… real big money, the corporate vision, your vision, cultural commitments, the future of Network Marketing, etc. Be the artist. Paint the big picture.
  3. Be the master storyteller. Teach your new distributors the foundational success stories of your company. Nothing is bought until the story is told.
  4. Give your new distributors responsibilities. Responsibilities will call out the leaders. Ask them to play a leadership role by:
    • Qualifying themselves for immediate bonuses.
    • Registering for your next conference.
    • Helping to set up the meeting room at local meetings.
    • Speaking at local meetings.
    • Speaking on your conference calls.
    • Submitting their testimonials on products and programs to corporate.
  5. Exemplify leadership yourself, and your leaders will jump out of the deck.
    • Hold weekly meetings.
    • Prospect daily.
    • Enroll new distributors every month.
    • Stay focused and positive on your vision.
    • Avoid gossip.
    • Be straight with people in your communication.
    • Make unreasonable requests.
    • Do whatever it takes.
    • Do it anyway.
These tips will make the difference between "missing" the leaders in your deck and feeling like someone stacked the deck full of aces in your favor. Master them.

The Ten Irrefutable Laws of MLM Success. By Richard Brooke.

The Ten Irrefutable Laws of MLM Success

Use and love your product.
Although in order to build a large network you must focus on enrolling others in the opportunity, a large portion of your credibility and integrity in doing so will be your passion for your products. The more you love them, the more you will talk about them and the more your whole network will use and sell them.

Own the concept of MLM.
Most prospects have a strong opinion about this concept. They own their perception of what it is. They have conviction about it. If you are weak on your ownership of MLM they will influence you versus you influencing them. One too many times of them influencing you and you are out of the game. You must have some successes - and have them quickly - to shore up your confidence. Study everything you can find on exactly how and why MLM is an extraordinary wealth-building concept. Study those who have done it. Master their stories and their strategies. Become a Pied Piper of "The Four-Year Career™."

Learn to believe that everyone is a prospect.
They don't think they are. They are probably not even looking for anything. But ask yourself this question: If everyone knew what you knew, would they get involved? The answer is: Of course. So what is missing? They just don't know about it. And, what if you could let them peek into your mind and into your heart to see it how you see it? Would they get involved? Yes, most of them would; and the ones who would not, would pass in a way that championed you (not rejected you) and appreciated you for offering.

Ask easy curiosity questions.
The more you know about your prospects, the easier it is for you to design an offer they will not choose to refuse. Find out what is important to people. What do they love? What do they want more of in life? What do they want less of? Start with where they live (if you don’t know). What do they like about it? What don’t they like about it? Where would they live if they could move? What is holding them back? Ask about their work. How long have they been doing it? What do they like and dislike about it? What is holding them back from doing something they love?

Ask them to imagine.
Walt Disney was probably the last one to inspire them to do so. It is our ability to imagine something that is not actually present in our lives that allows us to become inspired. Imagining a more peaceful, fun-filled, loving, abundant life changes our body chemistry immediately, whether we want it to or not. Imagining something specific that we like and don’t now have gives us a positive energy (motivation) to act; to choose to prioritize, to change and to embrace something like a new business that just five minutes ago we would have sworn we would never do. Ask them to imagine getting a check for $1,000 (or whatever amount you have learned will motivate them) every month like clockwork.

Show them the way.
Once someone is motivated to move, they will take direction. Why not? Your wisdom, experience and position in the organization is what they need to get what they want. Take advantage of your posture and show them exactly what they need to do. Show people who they know that can do well. Show them their plan. Show them their money. Show them what they must do to get their money. If you don’t show them, they will not do what they need to do and you have wasted their time and yours.

Wait for no man or woman.
Make unreasonable requests. This will sort out who will work with you and who will not. You must ask people to do what must be done. Stretch them. Give them the opportunity to succeed or fail out of choice versus merely decaying over time right in front of you. Some people would rather whine than work. They would rather tell stories than succeed. They would rather keep you waiting on them as they “get around to it.” These are the Vampires of MLM. They will suck the life out of you with their procrastination and excuses and brilliant ability to find ways for things not to work. It is much easier for them to justify their commitment to mediocrity if you stay down with them. Cast them off. And if they happen to be friends and family, keep them as such — and out of your business.

Manage your motivation.
Motivation is the secret to success. When you are on fire about the inevitability of your quest you will be enthusiastic, courageous, energetic, persistent and creative. These are the fundamentals of getting things done and attracting the things you need. When you are in a funk, you repel what you need and you do just the opposite actions from what you need to be doing. When you are on fire success is easy, natural and fun. You get lucky and stay lucky.

Get your car over the hill.
There is a lot of inertia in launching a network. The analogy is like pushing a car up a hill. It takes proportionally far more energy just to get it rolling than at any other time; and it takes a continued Herculean effort to keep it going uphill. And what happens if you stop to rest? Right, you get run over and have to start over. And what happens when you stay after it and do whatever it takes to get to the top of the hill? Right, it starts rolling on its own and it would take another Herculean effort just to stop it.

Lead like your life depended on it.
And the rest of your life — the part you may have been missing up to now — does depend on it. In a successful Network Marketing career, first comes massive action and development, then comes massive money and then comes … Life Beyond Money. A life where you are present to those you love; life with the freedom to do what you want, where you want, with whom you want and the peace of knowing that you have crested the hill and although there will still be bumps in your road you are on the good slope. MLM is like herding cats. Your job is to inspire a whole bunch of people to do something they are not normally inclined to do on their own and keep them doing it — thousands of them. Imagine herding thousands of cats to the Promised Land. You would need to be one heck of a trail boss yourself, and you would also need a lot of good hands to help you. Your leadership and your ability to inspire and develop it in others will determine how far you go and how self-sustaining it is when you get there.

Network Marketing is a brilliant career choice whether you choose it the age of 20, 40 or 80. Done smartly, you can be done in Four Years and then you get to design your Life Beyond Money. Dreams Found.

Richard Brooke
